    Material: O.Ind. śvásiti (inflection perhaps previously after aniti “atmet”), śvásati “atmet, schnauft, seufzt”, üsú ṣüṇá- “pfeifend”, Av. suši “die beiden Lungen”; Lat. queror, -ī, questus sum “ wail, sich worũber bemoan, lament” (: O.Ind. śvásati); lengthened grade O.Ice. hvǣ sa, O.E. hwōsan “pant, gasp”; Lith. šušinti “with zischendem noise through die Luft drive” (?? could as O.H.G. sūsōn eine independent onomatopoeic words Schallnachahmung sein). Daß k̂u̯es- extension through -es- a k̂u-, k̂eu- (at most schallmalenden origin, source, beginning; an ancestor ) sei, assumes man because of desselben Anlautes in O.Ind. śūtkürá - m. “das Pfeifen, Zischen” (perhaps rather as śīt-kürá - new onomatopoeic word formation?), Arm. sulem “ whistle, fizz “ (from *soyl = k̂eu-lo- or k̂ou-lo-); Maybe Alb. sulem “dash, rush (breath heavely?)” Lith. šv-añkšti “breathe, wheeze, pant, gasp”: Arm. šunč̣ “breath, breeze, breath, soul, ghost” (k̂u̯onki̯o-); Lith. švir̃ kšti “whistle, sausen”, švil̃ pti “with den Lippen whistle” and in the root k̂u̯ei-2 “hiss under likewise” see there.
